DESCRIPTION
Manufactured
from high performance intumescent material that is formed into square or
rectangular shapes and contained within a steel frame, for use in fire
resisting door sets and compartment walls to provide up to 60 minutes
fire resistance.
In normal use
the grilles allow air to be circulated and moved throughout the
building; however on exposure to heat from a fire the intumescent
material swells to produce a fire resistant seal against the passage of
fire, smoke and hot gases. The grilles are easily installed in vertical
apertures in doors or walls. We can also supply a range of square or
rectangular steel louvered
faceplates in a painted silver aluminium
finish to provide an aesthetically pleasing finish.
(Other finishes available to order).
The product
has been independently tested by Bodycote/Warrintonfire to BS476 part
22:1987 for 30 and 60 minute fire resistance. Test Reports 146520/146521
& 148053 apply – combined within Assessment Report No. 149511. The
product has Certifire CF549 accreditation. |
