Zeroflame Fire Retardant
Treatment achieves Class 1 only, on veneer and plywood laminates, the
bonding glues resisting penetration. If Class 0 is required on such
materials, Zeroflame Fire Retardant Intumescent Varnish is recommended
(internal use only)

Zeroflame Intumescent Fire Retardant Varnish consists
of a two pack water borne base coat, and a solvent based finish coat
available in Matt, Satin, or Gloss. Successfully tested to BS476: Part6&7 (1987)
achieving Class O and Class 1 flame spread and fire propagation on internal
wooden surfaces.
Suitable for use in public buildings, schools, housing, shopping
centres, restaurants, banks, churches and for walls and ceilings in escape
routes where timber or wood derivatives are used, suitable
for most types of softwood and hardwood in new and existing structures. Can be applied by brush, roller
or spray.
When attacked by fire, Zeroflame Varnish will
retard the spread of flame and reduce the contribution the substrate would
normally make should fire occur, the varnish expands to form an insulating layer
of non-combustible rigid foam which stops the spread of flame across the surface
and reduces the release of combustible gasses.

the adhesion of previously applied finishes these must be completely removed by
stripping or sanding.
